An extended honours thesis investigating

analog and digital media as ontological

modes of being. Using phenomenology

and twelve qualitative interviews with

participants spanning book binders to

magazine publishers. I graduated with

the highest possible distinction. I charted

my research out in marker on my closet

and bedroom walls.

My supervisor called it gutsy.

A three-hour live art shoot inside the

What Is Happening Here gallery, Amsterdam.

Sarai was painted. That became art.

We filmed it. That became art.

I shot it. That became art.

Throughout the session, I was experimenting

freely as the work built around me with my

favorite image coming from a long exposure

I tried on instinct.

Like with most projects, the real gems here

emerged from being in the room and feeding off

each other. Very jazzy.

2025—Ongoing

A living digital archive where people

anonymously submit reflections on

things they are trying to unlearn

as a result of colonialism. Currently

at 100+ submissions (all through

word of mouth).

I built the site without ever touching

code before, wrote all the content, and

consciously promoted it offline. The concept

originated from a talk I gave at my

Humanity in Action Fellowship that opened

up an unexpectedly vulnerable space.

The archive gives that moment a permanent

home.

2024—2025

A year-long cultural programming residency

at Vox Pop, one of Amsterdam's established

institutional cultural houses, producing five

events spanning grief, Afrofuturism, urban

space, and a month-long art exhibition.

I was one of five selected. Over the course

of the year I designed all graphic and

promotional material, shot event photography,

managed speaker and performer relationships

(inclusive of care riders and pre-event dinners),

and ran operations on the night.

Every single time.

2025

A photo series exploring the negotiation of

autonomy and submission within gendered

dress. A project that evolved from an editorial

shoot to an exploration of a new art form.

Published in 17:23 and Goji ; acquired

by What Is Happening Here, Amsterdam;

sold at Vrij Paleis, Amsterdam.

We bootlegged the whole thing and it worked.

Documentary · Direction · Production · Research

A documentary on memento mori, discussing

how we imagine death, and what space it

occupies in our lives. Conducted in three

languages across four subjects, the film is an

asynchronous conversation between an artist

and his audience: we brought their perspectives

to him, and his work to them.

I found the artist, originated the concept, and

directed from first interview to final cut.

Neither I nor anyone in our team had ever

produced before. Screened at the

Kriterion theatre, Amsterdam.
